Welcome to Mexico City | Hotel NH Collection Mexico City Reforma Review

Landing at the Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez in Mexico City was nothing short of typical. As much as we had envisioned huge custom lines & crowds of travelers waiting for taxis, our arrival was surprisingly smooth & catching our Uber was almost as relaxing of an experience as the flight itself.

Mexico City is the capitol of Mexico & has a population of more than 12 million people. Made up of 16 different districts, there is no shortage of parks, galleries, museums, restaurants & food stands to explore here.

While there are a great many neighborhoods to choose from, we decided (after much hemming & hawing) to stay in Zona Rosa & use Hotel NH Collection Mexico City Reforma as our home base to explore the neighboring districts of Roma & Condesa (two of the most popular districts for travelers visiting Mexico City in recent years.)

While NH Collection does offer transportation services (for an additional cost) we had planned to arrive fairly early in the day & felt safe enough to travel from the airport via Uber (an app that is both convenient, and not always offered in the countries where we travel the most) … so that is what we did!

When we arrived at Hotel NH Collection Mexico City Reforma we were greeted by a smiling concierge & granted early check-in to our room with no questions asked.

Our suite room at Hotel NH Collection Mexico City Reforma was as you would expect from a popular chain hotel. It was both clean & spacious with all of your standard hotel amenities and, of course, a concierge who went above & beyond to point out his favorite restaurants in the area & the quickest way to the nearby walking street.

While the amenities at Hotel NH Collection Mexico City Reforma certainly rationalized the price, the biggest perk to this hotel (for us) was the location, and the conveniences offered for business travelers like ourselves.

The hotel is located in the heart of Zona Rosa neighborhood & is just a short walk from Mexico City's financial district. As we mentioned above, Uber & car services are easy to come by in Mexico City, but being within walking distance of two of the most popular neighborhoods (Roma & Condesa) make Hotel NH Collection an obvious choice for the price point.

When you are ready to venture further into the city however, the historic center is only 15 minutes away by subway & there are many high-end shops, bars & restaurants to be found along the way.

If you are a business traveler or enjoy a little extra comfort (without the exorbitant price tag) then Hotel NH Collection Mexico City Reforma is certainly worth a look.
